“Your vision will become clear when you look into your heart.
Who looks within awakens.”
One of my insights into awakening, is that awakening begins with insight.
We have all been taught to seek what we desire out there, in the world.
One of the first things my Kung Fu teacher said to me was, the secrets right under your nose.
We all want to be happy. We have been taught that happiness is something you must pursue. It is something you obtain. It is something you build.
What if happiness is something you are?
What if love, peace, and joy, are the essence of your being?
This happiness cannot be found out there?
You must look within. This is called insight.
Insight is when you are look through the eyes of the pure unconditioned awareness. You are no longer are viewing the world through filters, you have awakened to the genesis of your perception.
The value of this is that it is the only place from which you can see clearly. This is the eyelet of the heart of which Jung spoke.
All other perceptions are distorted by the lens of your outer mind. This outer mind has been conditioned by all you have been taught and experienced up to this point in your life. It is the center of your opinions. It is biased. It is the place from which you are full of yourself. It is the joker that is responsible for all the foolishness in our world.
Underneath all this is the diamond center of pure being. If followed it will guide you all the way home to yourself, the one who has not been conditioned. This is the essence of unconditional love, peace, and joy.
History shows us that just one insight is not enough to break the spell of a lifetime of outer conditioning. Awakening must become a burning desire, fueled by the daily practice of insight. We must want this inner treasure more than all the outer treasure the world continually dangles before us.
Once experienced we must trust this inner clarity enough to follow its guidance. This is what I have called following the “Master Within”. Thus thought, word, and action, are aligned with the clarity of the heart. With time, commitment, and persistence, one becomes what one has been practicing. You awaken and realize that you are the “Master Within” and you break the grip of the conditioned self, and its component parts return and are integrated into your true being.
This is the heart of awakening. It begins with insight. It gains momentum with a series of insights. Which eventuate into an epiphany, which is followed by a series of epiphanies, and then Walla! You’ve got yourself a paradigm shift! And after a few paradigm shifts comes a shift in consciousness. Awakening is when the center of pure consciousness is held as a constant.
At this point, you may say with conviction, “At last I know who I am, and I can accept myself”. You have awakened to who you truly are!
What about all that other stuff you were pursuing? It is all magnetically drawn to your new vibration. You no longer seek the treasures of the world, they begin seeking you.
This is the meaning of “Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and its righteousness and all these things will be added unto you”.
But remember “The Kingdom of Heaven is within you”.
Don’t take my word for it, have the courage to go within and find out for yourself!
Peace in, peace out, Si Gong
