My intuition tells me that the aim of every religion or spiritual path is Universal Love.
If I am wrong, then I would suggest a reassessment of the target. For love is the most powerful force in the Universe.
“if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and have all faith, so as to move mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.”
The great Masters revealed the way of love to humanity. They were living examples of it and revealed it in thought, word, and action. And so men, some under the spell of a sincere inspiration and others who sought power and glory, took it upon themselves to build monolithic institutions that would guarantee their followers entrance into this promised land of a soul transforming love. They are complete with theologies, doctrines, laws, bylaws, genesis stories, end of days stories, reports from heaven, reports from hell, hierarchies, lists of angels, spiritual helpers, entities, bodhisattvas, buddhas, saints, sinners, demons, ceremonies, traditions, sacrifices, superstitions, amulets, charms, songs, chanting, mantras, prayers, invocations, promises of non-duality or emptiness, prescribed ways to dress, where your hair, dietary laws, sexual restrictions, etc. etc. etc.
It is my observation that people get lost in this maze of confusion and rarely find the cheese that is to be the reward of all their efforts. Thus, path most often becomes an obstacle to destination.
So, I come as an advocate of love and awakening into it, to say, why don’t we come directly and bow before the feet of the Master (Universal Love) and humbly ask “Master please take me directly into your sacred temple (The Heart) and teach me your ways. I will be your faithful disciple and though I fall a thousand times, I will rise again and again until I am able to walk in this Universal Love that you have so graciously revealed throughout the ages and is my birth right”.
Well to answer the question as to why people don’t come directly to love and practice its ways? We can see that path itself becomes an identity and soon becomes a point of pride. So, it becomes difficult to let go of what defines or makes one superior to others. A religion or spiritual pathway can become a company access badge, just swipe it and the doors open, one has no intention of actually following one’s faith but is terrified of not belonging? Or it becomes a shield, “though I violate the way of love a thousand times I am safe because I have the right faith”. Or maybe you have become addicted to struggle and suffering? Or perhaps you afraid of falling short of the high standard of Universal Love?
As a disciple of Divine Love, I can assure that it is the most gracious Master. Every failure is forgiven, every suffering is met with compassion, you are always met exactly where you are with love. Yet this love does not leave you where you are, it always gently leads you forward. You begin to grow into the very love, you are being loved with, and it soon awakens your own. Under the guidance of this great Universal Master you soon become a master yourself.
But before you get too excited about the honor, I must tell you something of the life of a master.
“The destiny of every Master is to become a servant of humanity.”
-Si Gong (Master Instructor)
But it is the most glorious thing and whether you know it yet or not it is what your heart truly desires.
Awakening is nothing more than discovering who you are in love.
Enter into it’s flame and watch as it purifies you. All illusion melts away and you are left with nothing but the essence of Self.
Love is calling you to the center of the labyrinth, come home. Then all you will have left to do is walk it out.
You will claim the greatest destiny the Universe has to offer, love itself!
“By this all humanity will know you are my disciples, that you love one another as I have loved you.”
Come on people now!
Love. Be happy!
Peace in, peace out. Si Gong
